England to Play at Monjuic Tickets
February 2, 2007 on 1:38 pm | In Uncategorized |England are comming to Barcelona, and at last it’s official. The venue of their European Championship qualifier away to Andorra on MArch 28 has finally been confirmed, and it’s going to be the Olympic Stadium on Montjuic.

UEFA finally managed to stand in the way of Andorra’s insitence on playing the game in their country, where the national stadium holds just 1800 people.
The lesson was learnt a few year’s back when Liechtenstein insisted on doing the same thing, leading to massive security problems and thousands of England supporters made the trip to the game and were left outside without tickets. Andorra, whop lost to England 5-0 at Old Trafford, usually play matches against major european nations, but whit their massive travelling support, plus thousands more English people living in Barcelona and up and down the costas, it decided that the bigger Olympic Stadium would be needed this time, where Andorra have only appeared once before, holding then world champions France to a frighteningly sull 0-0 draw.
